MERCCO is a not-for-profit organization in the City of Ottawa. It was incorporated in Ontario

on July 8, 2009. Through its various programs, MERCCO proposes to protect, preserve and

shares each cultural community’s heritage and traditions.


The organization’s past and forthcoming fundraising activities are intended to promote

multiculturalism. All programs and events organized by MERCCO, many of which are free of

charge, are open to the public as a whole.


As a long-term goal, MERCCO intends to raise enough funds to construct, develop and

operate a multicultural community centre in the City of Ottawa. The multicultural community

 centre shall serve as a public recreational space available to all members of the community.
